Arizer ArGo Vaporizer Uses a New Dual Heating System
The Arizer ArGo may not be Arizer’s first portable vaporizer, but it’s the first to offer ultimate portability with a recessed removable mouthpiece. Arizer finally got what made their Arizer Air 2 and Arizer SOLO 2 vaporizers so great into a palm-sized device.
From my own personal experience breaking a glass stem off in my pocket using the original Arizer Air, I swore off taking any of Arizer’s portable vaporizers with me on to go ever again.
After using the ArGo (a cleverly named abbreviation of Arizer Go) for a good amount of time while running errands, playing Tennis or meeting friends for a game of Pool the Arizer ArGo made vaping on the run a breeze without needing to worry about durability or keeping track of loose glass stems, all while providing the excellent quality vapor we have come to expect from Arizer.
Tell Me More
The Arizer ArGo is a dry herb dual heating vaporizer meaning it heats your cannabis via conduction and convection. The ArGo operates like it’s predecessors – a glass draw aroma tube which contains the herb chamber at the end. Your glass tube’s herb chamber is filled with your select choice of plant and then fits nicely into the heating element.
To turn on the device press the “m” button and the “+” button simultaneously. It will countdown on the LED display and when it reaches 0 your vaporizer in on. To adjust temperatures just hit the + or – button.
The ArGo has a temperature range of 128°F (53.3°C) to 428°F (220°C). This is quite the range for a dry herb vaporizer and offers you a wide range of flexibility for how you enjoy your vapor.
The ArGo will last you roughly 10 sessions or 75-90 minutes on a single charge. Even better Arizer outfit the ArGo with a removable 18650 battery. So swapping out your batteries when on the go is not a problem.
The removable battery also makes charging faster if you have an external charger. If charging via the mini USB cable recharging the ArGo will take a tad over three hours. So I do recommend getting the Arizer external charger.
Glass Vapor Pathway and Herb Chamber
As mentioned above the glass draw contains your herb chamber at the bottom. The chamber will hold about 0.25 grams of herb, but what is even better about the ArGo is if you want to vape only a little you can fill with 0.1 grams and get the same quality vapor.
With chamber packed 0.25 grams you can expect a good 15 quality draws. This will vary based on the temperature of course. One thing I have found with the ArGo is if I take a good 30 to 45 seconds before my next pull I get better and bigger hits.
Arizer takes a no-frills approach to designing their vaporizers. The ArGo is made of medical grade materials. The outer shell is a combination of plastic and aluminum, the heating element stainless steel and the draw tubes, heat-treated glass.
A nifty little feature Arizer included is a popup top which can be released by pressing a button on the back of the unit. This hides your glass stem making it safe to put in your pocket and skateboard down the road, they must have heard my story of breaking a glass stem off in my pocket when transporting the Arizer Air.
It is nice to have a digital display which gives you so much information on your screen. The ArGo lets you know the exact temperature, battery level and even has sound notifications when you reach your desired temperature.
Vapor Quality and Taste
The ArGo gives off some great quality vapor offering a thicker texture than what you would get on say the Mighty vaporizer which gives a mistier, finer texture. This thick texture is accompanied by little draw resistance so I can really get a large volume of vapor production when pulling for a long time.
The flavor is good, more pronounced on the earlier hits. You really notice the texture on the vaporizer more than the flavor. I would say if you were a smoker transitioning to vapor the ArGo would be one to pick up.
Milking the ArGo To get the best vapor production you want to take 20 seconds between hits and really let the herb resonate in the chamber before pulling. This will also give off smoother vapor as pulling back to back when not enough vapor is created gives you a mouthful of hot air.
Since the ArGo heats with Conduction and Convection you will not lose any vapor by letting sit between pulls when it is on. I was getting great pulls while emptying the dishwasher and waiting a minute between draws.

Makes Me Happy
What makes me happiest about the ArGo is Arizer finally made a portable vaporizer you can put in your pocket and go. I love Arizer vaporizers and they do have other portable vaporizers, but with the glass stem sticking out they are not as portable or discreet as the ArGo.
The ArGo is Arizer quality which can be slipped into your pocket easier than an iPhone with the same features and vapor quality of the Air 2 and the SOLO 2.
The ease of portability can also be said about the ease of maintenance. Given the heating chamber is recessed making it harder to reach for cleaning, most the build-up occurs in the glass filling chamber. These are a breeze to clean with a Q tip dabbed in some 91% isopropyl alcohol. The heating element will require just a simple brush down with the same q tip and your ArGo is squeaky cleaned and ready for the next session.
Makes Me Sad
Given Arizer had to compact all their awesome engineering into a tiny 3.5” tall (8.89cm) pocket-friendly vaporizer the unit will get hot to the touch. If I have a session lasting over 9 minutes and at temperatures of 390°F or higher I must wait for it to cool down before putting back in my pocket.
The ArGo is also not an all in one unit, like the comparable DaVinci IQ. Meaning I must totally remove the glass draw tube to fill up my herb for another session. This action is not super discrete out in public and you can misplace the glass. Doing so would result in not being able to use the vaporizer.
It’s a Wrap
It is nice to see Arizer produce a more compact portable vaporizer. Maintenance and upkeep are a breeze and the device is very user-friendly. The ArGo provides great quality vapor from a name you can trust making it a smart buy.
At a $182.24 (w/coupon ARGO10) price point, there is a lot of competition. If you don’t require ultimate portability you are better off going with the Air 2 which is roughly $50 cheaper as there is no difference in vapor quality between the Air 2 or Solo 2.
If you plan on buying the Arizer ArGo vaporizer do that only at authorized retailers, this promises you will get an original unit (no fakes) and a valid 2 years warranty. I recommend this store, it’s an online store with excellent customer service and free shipping PLUS:
- 10% OFF w/Coupon ARGO10

- Lifetime Trade-ins for Store Credit
